RGS is acclaimed for its academia. Our curriculum ensures breadth and depth, enabling boys to experience huge diversity and play to their strengths. Languages, the Humanities, Mathematics, the Sciences, the Creative and Performing Arts - plus numerous sports and activities - are all part of the School’s carefully considered academic programme.
More than twenty-five subjects are offered and examined at both GCSE and A Level, including eight languages, ancient and modern!

In 2019 -18 at GCSE, 89% of students completed the English Baccalaureate. Grades achieved at 7-9 were 71% (National figure was 40%). Progress 8 score was 0.68 (Top 4% of schools nationally). A Level, 72.9% of grades awarded were at A*-B.
