Sixth Form

A Message From The Head Boy

The RGS is without a doubt the place to be if you are a young man striving for excellence. RGS’s Sixth Form builds on the personal development you have gained lower down the school and gives you freedom to tailor your academic and wider experience for your benefit.

The Sixth Form at RGS focuses on allowing students to govern their own learning and subsequently, the students flourish into well-rounded young men who have the independence and confidence to deal with anything thrown at them.

Part of this is developed through applying for a Prefect role, where boys can take on a variety of roles to enhance their soft skills of leadership and communication, whilst being a strong example for the younger boys to look up to.

As you progress through the Sixth Form, many students gain a natural passion for their subject, nurtured by teachers who always look to enhance your learning and develop your career choices.

Through the varied co-curricular activities on offer, the RGS Sixth Form encourages you to branch your interests into various clubs and sports: from our proud history of rugby to the outstanding collection of musical bands, I’m sure you will find something that you can enjoy and enhance your time at the RGS. There are countless opportunities available ranging from the student-built medical society to the plethora of events that the Sixth Form holds to prepare and help you in your journey to the world beyond RGS.

Overall, the RGS is a world-class school with an environment that will prepare you for all endeavours that you may encounter, whilst having a bit of fun along the way too.
