RGS prides itself on the exceptional experience enjoyed by our boarders and also on the outstanding value for money that our boarding package provides. Our fees are approximately one third of the cost of an independent school in the UK and, as a state boarding school, there are also no tuition fees to be paid.

Full fee for the first child, then 3% discount for each subsequent sibling.
State Boarding Schools are exempt from the VAT 20% increase that has been placed on independent schools.

Parents who wish to apply for a boarding place in Years 8-10, should complete the Late Transfer form when the annual testing round is open and indicate whether they would prefer a boarding place. Please note that it is very rare to have space in boarding between Year 7 entry and the Sixth Form.
