About

Never judge a book by its cover

Our podcasters pick their favourite books of the year, covering book to film adaptations, inspirational characters, Harry Potter to the RGS Biscuit Book and just about everything else whilst eating Hobnobs.

Today, the range of excellent fiction and non-fiction available to read is truly breathtaking - and choosing the right book to read from around the world and through the centuries can appear a little daunting. Which is why, with the expertise of our podcasters and guest speaker Mr Rowe-Elliott, they have made the task much easier. Whether you're trying to broaden your literary horizons, or simply find a good read, they are your perfect guide.

As always, they entertain.

Enjoy!

Every Library tells a Story

In a year that has seen the usual flurry of Young Adult books on apps, there are some parcels to unwrap for our Year 7s under the tree that don’t depend on an iPhone, Reader or Kindle, to remind us just how beautiful, lasting and shareable printed books can be.

The Parents Association has once again generously donated a book to every Year 7 pupil via the BookTrust Charity. Bookbuzz is a reading programme by BookTrust that aims to help schools inspire a love of reading in 11 to 13-year-olds. It gives students the opportunity to choose their own book to take home and keep from a list of 16 titles, from non-fiction reads for curious minds to fast-paced page-turners.

Thank you!
