As far back as I can remember, I have always loved physics. It helps explain our complex universe and everything in it. It gives answers to the how’s and why’s of the physical world. For me, as an aspiring engineer, I am especially interested in how this knowledge can be used to help people. At the RGS, my passion has only been encouraged by my wonderful teachers and the school’s fantastic facilities. We have 5 qualified teachers of Physics which provide world-class teaching from Year 7 to Year 13. In my opinion, the best thing about studying physics at the RGS is the vast number of opportunities - to take part in our interactive lessons, join one of our clubs, go on interesting trips and to learn more about our world through the lens of a physicist. A level students travel to CERN every year to learn about how the knowledge they obtain is used in the wider world. To sum it up, studying physics at the RGS gives you the tools and the support to take your passion for physics much further.
