Work Experience

Our staff encourage students to arrange placements and shadowing opportunities throughout their time at RGS, making contacts through their family, friends and the school, as well as utilising connections via the Old Wycombiensian network.

We recommend that all students complete a work experience placement after their GCSEs, during the summer of Year 11, so that all boys have undertaken a meaningful workplace experience by the time they reach the age of 16.

Information will be handed out to all students during the Careers module in Years 10 and 11 and reminders about placements will be sent home during year 11. Further details and documentation for Year 11 work experience can be accessed via the RGS VLE.

Our Year 12 students are invited to participate in an annual work placement organised by RGS in Toulouse, France. These placements are set up through an exchange programme with students from Lycée Victor Hugo, near Toulouse and take place every December.
