Interiors can mean different things to different people. The work of Eduardo Paolozzi and Ben Hughes was a starting point for my work. I initially looked at Paolozzi’s ‘Wittgenstein in New York’ and liked the composition of two facing silhouettes filled with a mind map of thoughts and machinery - an internal reaction to feeling disillusioned with the American life. Moving onto the work of Ben Hughes whose graphical interiors mixed with realistic elements, allowed me to explore a similar concept.
