Friends of Cricket

Welcome to RGS Friends of Cricket.

We are a parent run group whose aim is to raise funds for the provision of cricket at RGS. It costs in the region of £15,000 a year to run cricket at RGS, with only a small proportion of this being covered by the school budget. Fundraising and subscription payments enable us to pay for additional coaching during games and training sessions, transport to and from fixtures, cricket teas, umpires, match balls and major capital projects as and when required. The support of parents is essential for the running of cricket at RGS and without fundraising, we would not be able to provide the level of cricket we do.

This support has contributed to RGS High Wycombe being listed in The Cricketer Top 100 Senior Schools for a second consecutive year, a huge achievement for a state school. Many thanks to all the staff, parents, boys and supporters of cricket at RGS for their continued support.

There are two main ways we raise money:

1. Membership – to join FOC we ask that you make donation of £50 per annum. This can then also be gift aided, if you are eligible, which means we can then benefit from an additional 25% on top of your donation at no extra cost to you or the school. If you wish to join FOC please do so via the links below. As a member of FOC you will receive an invite to lunch at the annual MCC match held in mid-June each year.

2. Bat Oar Ball – our annual fundraising black tie dinner. This three course sit down dinner includes several fundraising games, a main and silent auction and a live band to finish off the night.
