I wanted to look at detail through hyperrealism and how light can be used to emphasise textures and patterns. My primary photographs initially focus on sweets and other confectionery, which show the bold colours of the food dyes and jelly soft surfaces. I also plan to look at cakes as I move away from hyperrealism and explore texture through paint.
