There were a overall total of 13 medals won by RGS fencers, with Ben Radvan and Adam Butler also winning a medal in the U18 age group.

Spring Term 2008

There was a defeat at the hands of Eton College early in the term, where the Seniors lost by 2 weapons to 3, and the Juniors narrowly by 1 weapon to 2.
However the Senior team bounced back by beating Winchester College by 26 fights to 19, which was then followed by a comprehensive victory over Wellington College by 31 fights to 5.
We also had 3 teams enter the British Schools’ Team Championships, where the Seniors narrowly missed out on a medal in the U18 epée. There was better news at the Southern Region team championships, as the U14 foil team of Daniel Mosley, Toby Eddings and Jago Seymour came 3rd in the U14 foil.
The Public Schools’ Fencing Championships took place at Nottingham University.
The squad produced a strong display coming sixth overall in the boys ’ competition.
There were four top ten finishes with Daniel Mosley and Jonathan Block both winning a medal.
