Extended Learning at RGS

At the Royal Grammar School we are very proud of the high standard of teaching and learning across the schools curriculum, as well as the wide variety of extra curricular activities that our boys have access to. This page is designed to give gifted and talented students yet another opportunity to see what they can do beyond the classroom. I hope that boys will be able to use the information on this page to take further responsibility for their extended learning outside and beyond the boundaries of the classroom and our already considerable extra curriculum provision.

Young Gifted & Talented website. (previously known as NAGTY)

Many of you may be familiar with NAGTY (National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youths). This has now been taken over by a new company and re-branded YG+T. The objectives are the same however; to provide opportunities for gifted learners beyond the classroom. Their website offers a host of learning opportunities from courses across a range of subjects to online forums for pupils. The website also has a parents page for further information.

Currently the website is only recently launched and materials are still being added. Pupils can sign in as an on-line member and gain access to information on courses, forums, resources etc. Pupils will shortly be allowed full membership, but this will require confirmation from school as to their G+T status. This will be availiable on request by e-mailing me directly.
