The Royal Grammar School is providing two four-day intensive revision courses in a number of subjects.  Most mainstream subjects will be available at AS and A2 level, while at GCSE level we will be offering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, French, Spanish, Geography and History, with other subjects depending on demand.  We can cater for individual sciences and also the dual award GCSE.  The Dual Award Science is taught as one science subject per day (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and students can opt to study all three or just one or two of these.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer Salters Science syllabus courses, and we are unable to offer courses at Foundation level.

A2 and AS students study one subject for the four days. Two subjects can be studied by enrolling for both weeks. In the case of GCSE students, four subjects are normally studied, one per day.  More subjects can be studied by enrolling for more than one week, up to a maximum of eight subjects.

Teaching is intensive and examination-orientated, with an emphasis on key topics and revision techniques.

Teaching time (a combination of revision sessions and in some cases workshop sessions and tutorials) will total 22 hours.

All teachers on the course are experienced teachers of their subject, and several are from the Royal Grammar School’s staff.

Teaching takes place in modern classrooms equipped with whiteboards, OHPs and videos where relevant.

The cost for the four-day course is £420, but it is possible to study fewer than four days, at a cost of £105 per day.  Because of timetabling issues, it will not  be possible to specify until a late stage which days will be allocated, if a student registers for fewer than four days.

The maximum group size is nine, although some groups will be considerably smaller.
