The Language Department's International Liason Officer, Archie the Bear, has just returned from his latest trip. His most recent journey took him above the Arctic Circle to a small village in the North of Canada. Earlier visits saw him in Poland an Kenya.

Modern Foreign Language Day for Gifted and Talented learners
Gifted & Talented Linguists10 members of our Year 10 were pleased to be invited to attend a Modern Foreign Language Day for Gifted and Talented learners at Aylesbury High School on Friday 18 May
The day aimed:
To motivate, challenge and raise enjoyment of Modem Foreign Language Learning
To encourage independent thinking and creativity
To raise awareness of the value of language learning
It involved a series of group activities in French, German and Spanish, which included problem solving, intelligent guesswork, pattern recognition and a lot of fun. The theme
was a Murder Mystery and the pupils were divided up into groups of detectives whose task it was to find the murderer!
At the end of the session prizes were awarded to the teams that successfully unmasked the murderer.

Work Experience in Toulouse
In December, forty-six members of the Lower Sixth spent 10 days in France just before the Christmas holidays, completing half of the 'Dialogue' exchange scheme. The main objective of the trip was to carry out five days of work experience.
