Are you the Brains of Year 13?

Mr Balaam would like to offer Year 13 boys the opportunity to take part in the “Brains of 13” 2008 challenge. The Challenge will run along the same lines as the University Challenge competition. Two teams of four boys each will compete against each other, using a buzzer system answering General Knowledge Questions over a thirty-minute period. There will be starter questions, and the team which wins each starter will then be able to attempt three bonus questions, and so on. The exact organisation of the Challenge will depend on the number of teams entering – either knockout or round robin. Matches will take place on a Monday Lunchtime in L7 from 1.35 to 2.05pm, with individual fixtures being announced several weeks in advance wherever possible.

Anyone wishing to enter the “Brains of 13” 2008 challenge should get together the names of four team members for their team complete with their forms, and hand them to Mr Balaam as soon as possible. Please note that teams will not be able to substitute members during the Challenge, and the same four boys must compete for their team in all matches.
