1) All the UK trip information for Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 are now live on the website and ready to download.

2) Fund raising for your expedition:

On Saturday 15th December twelve Year 11s who are going to Mongolia/Honduras in 2009 went bag packing in Asda and raised nearly £1000 between them. An amazing amount of money, so well done to those boys!

I know lots of you have bag packing organised for the Christmas period, so I wish you good luck and let's see if you can do as well as the Asda boys.

For those of you who have not had that much luck yet, start asking around family and friends for odd jobs to be done and make sure you raise some money over the Christmas break.

If you are going away with your family or will not be able to do any work, then put some things for sale on ebay and keep an eye on them while you are away or start planning your sponsored event.

Please email me the way you are raising funds, so I can share it with everyone going on expedition. Please go to the attachment below for ways boys have raised money in the past:

3) T-shirts

All the Norway, Iceland and Malta (Gozo) t-shirts arrived on Thursday 20th December.

Most of you have collected them from me already. The rest of you will have to wait until we start back at school next term. I am disappointed you did not all come and pick them up, as I did put a notice into your tutors and I also came into the canteen at break time and had them available in my office that lunchtime. If you are bag packing and do not have a t-shirt, then either borrow one from a friend who has one or wear your school uniform.

Honduras, Peru and Mongolia t-shirts should be with us by the time we come back to school, so I will call a meeting, as soon as they arrive.

4) Mongolia Teams

I am hoping to organise you into teams right at the beginning of next term. At the moment, we have enough of you to make two large teams. If there were another 6 boys to join, we could possibly make a 3rd team. So if you know of  a few guys who are keen, but thought it was too late, tell them and come and see me and we may be able to create a third team.

5) Good luck with your fund raising and researching your country and finally Happy Christmas to you all!

Mr Greenhough
