Year 10 River Severn (DofE) Expedition
As a school, we are launching another very exciting series of UK expeditions provided by World Challenge.
Essentially, 18 Year 10s can go on a 5-day expedition along the River Severn in the May Half term. This expedition also qualifies the boys for the practice and qualifying expedition sections of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. The training needed for this trip will be conducted at school for free by Mr Greenhough.
Information and application forms for this trip can be found on the links below:
All you need to do is print off the relevant forms, complete them and ask your son to return them by the appropriate date to Mr Greenhough via the Resources Centre along with a cheque made payable to the Royal Grammar School. The places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
This expedition will include some or all of the following:
Leading the expedition, team building, navigating, trekking, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, raft building, taking part in adventure scenarios, buying their food, catering for themselves and camping.
