Chinook Drops in

A Chinook, piloted by Flying Officer Ellie Lodge, made a landing on Uplyme field on Thursday.

Its arrival was announced by the deafening noise from its twin rotors as it swooped low over the school.   Flying Officer Ellie Lodge, the youngest captain of a Chinook, has been deployed twice in Afghanistan and is due to return there in April.  She is a friend of Miss Birch and it is to her that we owe this visit.
