Peter Johnson: Chairman of Finance and Trustee GovernorI spent 36 years in the Royal Air Force as a fast-jet pilot and operational commander, having served and lived in Aden, Germany, the USA, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands as well as the UK. I retired from the RAF in 1999. Since 2001, I have been CEO of a national charitable company which assists ex-Armed Forces people make the transition to civilian work. My second retirement is due in 2009! Son David went to the RGS from 1997 - 2004 and graduated from Cambridge earlier this year with a double first in Music. Son Mark started at RGS in 2000, left earlier this year and is now at York reading Maths and Finance. I have been an RGS Governor since 2000. I am a member of the Strategy Committee, Chairman of the Finance Committee, member of the Personnel Committee and the Special Educational Needs Committee and an RGS Trustee. Wife Jill is a Speech and Language Therapist who runs the NHS Language Development Service for local mainstream schools. We live in Speen and have four grandchildren courtesy of my two older children Paul and Sarah.
