Specifications for the examination can be found on the Edexcel website at http://www.edexcel.org.uk/quals/gcse/dt/gcse/1973/
In Year 10 students carry-out two small Design and Make Projects as grounding for the GCSE Examination Project before embarking on their actual Examination Project. Theory content is taught throughout the two years of the course.
Year 11 is totally devoted to the Coursework Project and preparation for the final written Theory Examination.
Homework is set regularly throughout the course and pupils are expected to meet all deadlines.
