Trustee Governors
Until 1999, RGS was a Grant Maintained School. When the Government abolished Grant Maintained status, RGS became a Foundation School i.e. the School's assets were put in Trust (a chariable Foundation with a Governing Document).
The land and buildings which make up the Royal Grammar School come under the remit of the Trusteee Governors. It is their responsibility to ensure that the land and property is kept in good condition.
5 Trustee Governors represent the Foundation on the Main Governing Body - their role is to ensure that the character of the School is preserved and developed. as well as ensuring the business of the School is conducted in accordance with the Trust.
