ESAA Cup National Finals:
1st December 2007
ESAA National Final: Pre-race: "the zone"
Talal Hashmi, Naeem Iqbal, Alex Imre and Luke Bailey represented the RGS at the ESAA cross-country National Finals in St. Alban’s. It was a fantastic event, at which the team performed magnificently up against the country’s best, with Alex Imre finishing top amongst the RGS runners. Our thanks must go to Mr. Wilson for giving up his day to take and support the team.

ESAA Regional Final: Jago flies past!
The Junior Boys can certainly be proud of their efforts in the ESAA Regional Final, run in difficult circumstances at William Parker School, Daventry. Meanwhile the Intermediate Boys’ team, starring Alex Imre, Alex Goodall, Alex Lai, Naeem Iqbal, Talal Hashmi and Luke Bailey, achieved a fantastic result, coming third and qualifying for the National Final for the first time in a decade.
Richard Haskell Trophy:
7th November 2007
The Senior Boys entered two teams into the Haskell Trophy run at RGS Guildford – a 4-man relay race across a difficult course. Up against stiff competition, our teams put in excellent performances.
Wycombe Phoenix Harriers Meeting:
Alex leads the chase
3rd November 2007
Despite having several runners out of action, the RGS put on an excellent show at the Wycombe Phoenix Harriers meet in Hughenden Park at the beginning of November. Alex Imre and Josh Radvan each came second in their respective events, while the Intermediate Boys’ team, including Jack Walker and Lewis Spinks who were running against boys two years older, picked up the trophy for first placed team.

ESAA First Round: Our Intermediate Supermen
The RGS cross-country runners’ season began in October with excellent performances at the ESAA Regional First Round held at John Colet School, where both our Junior and Intermediate teams finished third, qualifying for the Regional Final. There were plenty of fine runs particularly from Dan Barraclough, who won the Junior Boys’ race, and Alex Imre.
