Boys at the RGS start rowing in year 10 and row throughout the year. The RGS competes in local and national events and specialise in sculling (with two oars each) rather than sweep rowing (with one). The boat club is based at Marlow Rowing Club where we keep an expanding fleet of boats.

Coaching is done by Geoff Baker and Colin Jackson. Geoff was an old boy of the school who has been a Commonwealth Gold Medallist (1958) and is a coach at Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames. Colin Jackson is the head coach for the RAF boat club at Danesfield. Both have coached at international level.
