The best young physicists in the country at the Royal Society

These are the best fifteen Yr 13 students of physics in Britain, as selected after three rounds of the Physics Olympiad competition.  They were awarded their prizes at a special ceremony at the Royal Society, London, by the Olympiad Chair - Professor Bell Burnell - the co-discoverer of the first pulsar.  You may notice Robert Hird resplendent in his RGS prefect's tie towards the back on the right.
