German Department joins Youthbridge Scheme

WMF Manager, Thomas HeinenWMF Manager, Thomas HeinenThe RGS German department was delighted  to learn that it been accepted into the  Youthbridge scheme as a school supported by a German company.  The Youthbridge Fund matches British schools with German corporates.
Our sponsor is the world famous Germany company WMF and the managing director of their English branch, Thomas Heinen,  visited us to hand over a cheque for  £1500.

WMF or the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik  has its headquarters in Geislingen near the Black Forest.  They specialise in producing cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils and coffee machines for households and larger institutions.
We hope to develop our links with WMF and eventually to send some of our German A Level pupils to Geislingen  for a short workplacement.
