We asked boys in 7AB to suggest reasons why new boys can be pleased that they are coming to the RGS in Spetember. We share their thoughts with you here.

You can be pleased that you are coming to the RGS because...

"The food in the canteen is great."

"The science lessons are not too difficult and you do lots of experiments."

"You meet lots of new people."

"You make some great new friends and have lots of fun."

"There are amazing facilities."

"The music is great. You can practise in the practice rooms and join the music clubs. I'm in 4 music clubs!"

"You can play new sports."

"Some great sportsmen have been through the school, such as rugby players Matt Dawson and Tom Rees, and golfer Luke Donald."

"There are lots of sports options."

"Almost every musical instrument can be learned here."

"There are many good teachers and you are taught well."

"The music centre is amazing."

"The RGS offers you lots of opportunities."

"There are loads of extra-curricular activities."

"The library is really good."

"The tuck shop is really nice."

"Around your birthday, you get to have cake or jelly and ice-cream with the Headmaster."

"The lessons are not too long."

"The technology at the school is excellent. There are several ICT suites."

"The cashless card system is great as it means you don't have to carry cash around."

"There are lots of PA events including discos for Year 7 and 8s."

"The lessons are fun and the techers are friendly and easily approachable."
