Young Enterprise success at Milton Keynes

Rent-a-Mentor, one of four RGS Young Enterprise teams this year, were the overall winners of the Bucks County Final of this competition held at the Open University on May 9th.  They beat off tough competition from schools from Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, as well as Dr Challoner’s High School & John Hampden Grammar School. In addition to the overall prize, this outstanding team came away with five other awards, including those for Best Company Report and Best Customer Services. Rent-a-Mentor now progress to the South-East Regional Final in Horsham on June 18th.

Congratulations to the team of eight Year 12 students: Harkrishan Batra, Joel Catterall, Tom Crawford, Ram Kumar, Tobias Mansfield-Williams, Nick Miller, Dafydd Ravenscroft and Jamie Williams.

Rent-a-Mentor is a tutorial service for children studying for KS3 SATs and GCSEs. Tutors are selected based on their high academic calibre, and tuition is offered across a wide range of academic subjects.

The photographs show team members staffing their trade stand and giving their company presentation to a large audience of judges, fellow achievers and supporters, as well as receiving their winners’ award.
