Richard Farr
Richard FarrI was encouraged by my son Ben to become a Governor when he was in year 8 (2003). Since then I have sat on the Personnel and Special Needs Committees.
I became a Governor to help the school maintain its excellence in all areas and have been very impressed by all I have seen (not least the excellence of Andrew, our Chairman and all the Committee Chairpersons). We have been some through challenging times but I feel we have emerged stronger for it.
I am a Chartered Accountant by training (FCA), a member of the Society of Turnaround Professionals and, currently, I am de-risking corporate pension schemes across Europe in my role of Head of Pensions (Europe) for Swiss Re (we are based in the Gherkin!).
I live in Stoke Poges with my wife Gill, Charlotte, Ben and Greg.
