I am married with four children.  I am in my second term as a Teacher Governor at the RGS.

I studied at Wolverhampton and Cardiff and taught Art and Design, in a mixed comprehensive school near Oxford, for two years before joining the Voluntary Services Overseas in 1980.  I worked alongside international organisations to develop pottery and small scale brick making facilities using appropriate technologies in up-country Sierra Leone, West Africa.

On my return to England, I took up my current post as a teacher of Art and I have been Head of the Art Department since 1986.
