SUPERMARKET VOUCHERS

CLOSE

Thursday, 01 Mar 2012

This perennial effort on the part of boys, parents, relatives and other supporters has entered the 2012 competition arena with the issue of Sainsbury's Active Kids scheme for 2012.  We are once again collecting the vouchers, which will be issued from 15th February until Easter, to provide much needed sports equipment.  Tutor groups are collecting in a competition which sees the most successful forms getting prizes sponsored by the Parents' Association. Please collect and give the vouchers to a boy, for his form to benefit, or via the School Office, generally.

The TESCO initiative will probably commence soon and we collect those vouchers, too.

Nestle Tokens

All year round we collect the BoxTop tokens from Nestle cereal packets.  These give a cash boost to the School Library.  To date we have over 2100 tokens, but more will always be appreciated.  The dealine for this year's collection is Friday 23rd March, as the tokens need to be at the depot by 30th March.  Immediately we have submitted this year's collection we start on that for the following year - to 31st March 2013.

Last season's collection

In the autumn we collected well over 2000 Morrison's Lets Grow vouchers and the gardening equipment, seeds and other items will be arriving soon for Mr T Bennett's TAA Eco Army to use on their allotment.  The highlight of last year's efforts were the small, but perfectly formed pumpkins, which grew in time for Halloween 2011.

Kitchen equipment

Finally for now, Mrs M E Royal's cookery option on a Thursday afternoon (TAA) is always on the lookout for items of kitchen equipment that they can use in the new Food Technology suite at the back of the Dining Room.  TESCO are running a voucher scheme where we can get kitchen knives at a substantial discount.  Any supporters who can collect the vouchers, but have no need personally for them could consider donating them to Mrs Royal for equipping the kitchen.
