ETON FIVES
CLOSE
Tuesday, 28 Feb 2012
The RGS team have had two tough matches recently. Just before half term, they travelled to Windsor, to compete against the Eton College team. Eight pairs to part and we managed to win one match to give Eton a 7 - 1 victory. Well done to Tom Noyes and Nathan Turnbull of Year 10 who beat the Eton U15 pair.
Last week it was the turn of Harrow School to host us. This time, we competed in 7 pairs and the results were equally daunting, but we managed to win two of the 7 matches. So, Harrow won 5 - 2, but well done to our two U14 pairs of Dylan Stephens with Manazir Najib and Laith Edris with Faiz Gulistan, who won decisively.
There are still a few more matches to come before the end of term.
Most schools only play in the autumn and spring terms, but we are hoping for away matches at Ipswich School and City of Norwich School, in the summer term.
