On Monday 4th April all Year 7 pupils were treated to a day off normal timetable and an opportunity to learn more about life in Mediaeval times. The boys were spilt into group and took part in a range of activities from designing coats of arms, learning about crime and punishment and handling mediaeval weapons and tools. Most seemed to agree that the highlight of the day was the birds of prey display which took place in the sun-drenched boarding house garden. Boys learned about falconry and got up close and (in some cases very!) personal with a variety of birds of prey, including hawks, falcons and owls. The photos below give a flavour of the day.
