Our occasional series on RGS's unique Thursday Afternoon Activity slot looks in at several of the options that boys can choose.
In the garden we found Mr Bennett and his team planting their potatoes this week and tending the garlic, leeks and onions they had already sown:
Not far away was a group being instructed in Fives and enjoying the new covered facilities that we opened this year
In the Sports Hall were the fencers and under the Queen's Hall table tennis players were in action
Cookery and weight lifting also find their adherents .....
This week it was the art of piping, ably demonstrated once again by Mrs Royal.
Across the road at Uplyme were the boys who pack books for Africa. They are helping out School Aid, a project that has been going on for many years under the guidance of Mrs Rita Pulley.
And last but not least - the CCF were in action all over the school. This activity is probably the original raison d'etre for RGS's TAA slot and long may it continue.
