The RGS Benevolent fund operates weekly to give boys the opportunity to support charitable causes through donations.
On Wednesday 16th March, there will be a change to the arrangements: on that day, boys are invited to bring into school any unwanted out-of-date British coins and foreign coins.
They will be collected for the charity Meningitis Trust, which also collects such coins at airports and ports from returning passengers who wish to unburden their pockets of the coins they have accumulated while abroad.
Of course, any boys (or their parents, relatives or guardians) who wish to donate current UK coins will also be welcome to make their donations.
