Final year pupils studying for their A Levels were delighted to receive some outstanding results on Thursday 19 August. With a 99.3% pass rate and 80% of boys receiving A*, A and B grades, this year’s set of results puts RGS as one of the leading boys schools in the country.
Ten pupils received 5 A*/A grades and above with one pupil receiving 6A*s and one A. Twelve pupils have achieved the entry requirements to progress to Oxbridge. Roy Page, Headmaster, paid tribute to their efforts.
“These results are a truly great achievement. My congratulations go not only to the pupils who studied so diligently for these exams but also to the staff who have supported them through the past two years. The results published last week are the product of exceptional teaching, for which I thank my colleagues, and a group of very determined and positive young men who leave RGS with some of the best grades in the country and fully prepared for the next step in their academic careers.”
We are also pleased with this year's GCSE results.
