On Tuesday 3rd July we were really pleased to welcome Year 6 students who will be joining us as Year 7s in September.
Boys came to us from a very wide range of schools across the area and were welcomed in an assembly by the Headmaster and their future Head of Year 7, Mr Hayes. They were then split up into their form groups for September, met their form tutors and spent some time getting to know each other, and finding out more about what we are expecting of them next year!
Prefects were on hand to look after boys and they also gave them a whistle-stop tour of the school. Later on during the morning and afternoon the boys had some taster lessens to get more of a feel for what it will be like when they join us for real in September.
Lunch was provided for all boys in the canteen, and the afternoon was rounded off with an evaluation session in the Queen's Hall.
The English Department has given new boys a task to prepare over the holidays, and if you should lose your sheet, you can find a copy of the task by clicking here.
