RGS Old Boy, Lord McIntosh of Haringey, famous for leading the Greater London Council for less than 24 hours in 1981 before losing the leadership to Ken Livingstone, has died aged 77.
Andrew McIntosh was the leader of the Labour group on the former Greater London council (GLC) from 1980 to 1981, but his career in politics lasted from 1963 until his death.
He studied at the Royal Grammar School before going to Jesus College, Oxford to study Economics.
