The Library is involved in a number of initiatives to promote reading for pleasure across the school. New fiction books are purchased on a regular basis, and there are fiction displays and competitions to encourage the boys to read. Boys in Year 7 come in to the Library during English lessons for Quiet Reading, and they take part in the Accelerated Reading programme.

Carnegie Award 2013
We are currently shadowing the 2013 Carnegie Book Award. We are reading books from the longlist until the shortlist is announced at the end of March. We will write reviews and then decide which of the books is our favourite. The group meets fortnightly in the Careers Room on Tuesday lunch times. If you are interested in shadowing this prestigious award then you are welcome to come along.

Congratulations to them all.
