Physical Education

The RGS Sport & PE Department is a strong, enthusiastic and forward thinking team, which comprises of 6 full-time PE specialists and two PE gap students.

All members of the department contribute to the excellent delivery of the National Curriculum & A Level Physical Education as well as a full commitment to our extensive & rapidly expanding extra curricular sports programme.

The RGS operates under a 'four tiers of participation' system, to cater for all types of ability and commitment and to get the best out of the individual.

All RGS students access 2 hours of compulsory Physical Education per week up until Year 12. There is also the option to study GCSE Physical Education at Key stage 4 and AS / A2 Physical Education at Key Stage 5. The following sports form part of the curriculum:
