If you are an ambitious young man who is prepared to work hard, there are no limits to what you can achieve here as an RGS Sixth Form student.
Here you will find a stimulating, friendly and supportive environment in which you can develop your skills and interests whilst studying a range of academic subjects to the highest level (see 6th Form courses information).
Should you have a particular interest in, or talent for music, sport, languages, the CCF, drama or many other areas, then you will find a niche here to engage your skills to the highest level.
The vast majority of our Year 11 pupils continue into the Sixth Form. Each year we accept between twenty and thirty new students from a wide range of schools including local upper, comprehensive and independent schools. This year we have new students from local secondary and grammar schools, as well as from independent and comprehensive schools from all over the country. We also consider applications from abroad, and currently have young men from Hong Kong, USA, Nigeria and Dubai studying with us.* We recognise how new students enrich the Sixth Form and school life in general and are delighted with how well they settle into their new environment, and achieve some tremendous results.
You can apply by completing the application form available under the “Admissions” heading here on the website, and posting this to our 6th Form Admissions Secretary, Mrs S Bailey, Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP13 6QT.
We are always heavily over-subscribed for places and would recommend that interested students make an early application.
We look forward to meeting you in the near future and wish you every success in your examinations.
(* All applicants for a 6th form place must have either a UK or EU passport, or the right to residence in the UK)
